Lumbre F.C. Philosophy and Code of Conduct
PHILOSOPHY:
The goal of Lumbre F.C. is to provide competitive soccer opportunities for players and to develop life skills such as cooperation, teamwork, discipline, decision-making, and leadership through a positive soccer experience, competition, and hard work. The practices, matches, and other functions offer many opportunities for personal growth within a team setting. Coupled with these opportunities is the obligation for the players to be mindful of the effects of their behavior on themselves and others. It is the responsibility of the player to conduct themselves in a manner which is in compliance with the goals and values of Lumbre F.C.
DEFINITION:
The Code of Conduct is the standard behavior which is expected of all Lumbre F.C. players, coaches, and parents. It is in effect at all practices, matches, and other functions such as tournaments.
CODE OF CONDUCT:
The undersigned player participating in Lumbre F.C. agrees to abide by the standards of conduct outlined below and any additional guidelines established by the club. ALL PLAYERS will adhere to all rules and regulations and will refrain from illegal and inappropriate behavior that will detract from the positive image of the team this includes but is not limited to the following.
· During practice, all players are to conduct themselves in a positive and competitive manner which promotes team growth, ABUSIVE LANGUAGE or BEHAVIOR towards teammates will not be tolerated.
· Sportsmanlike conduct is the rule at all matches. This includes
showing respect for officials, competitors, parents, coaches, and
public. Members must refrain from any offensive action, words, or
gestures, including obscenities.
· Respect the rights, dignity, and worth of all participants regardless of
gender, ability, or cultural background.
· Practice is just as important as a match and attendance helps the team.
remember to notify the coach if you can not make practice.
· At matches and practice, team members must stay with the team until
dismissed by the coach.
· Participate for your own enjoyment not to please parents or coaches.
· Work equally hard for yourself and your team. Lumbre will benefit from this, and so will you.
Violations of the Code of Conduct will result in disciplinary action up to and including suspension, expulsion, or non retention for the following year as determined by Lumbre coaching staff.
